So, I don't remember if I told you all or not, but I've been switching back and forth between a million and one teams for this thing. First, I was on the gameshow team-for a split second or so. I'm so proud of how it turned out, because I know I wouldn't have been able to pull it off as successfully as they did during the assembly. Then, I was put on the video team and we played with dolls. No...we really did play in a dark room with paper dolls. It was for a stop-motion-animation video that we worked on for like three whole weeks. It wasn't that high a quality though, since we took the picures with an iphone and not a camera, and we didn't have nearly the quality that professionals did.
Don't worry, because we scrapped that idea and~ drum-roll please!!! ... We tried to make a flash animation video. With only two weeks to work on it, though...it didn't quite work out. We got really far on it, if it's any consolation...but we scrapped it-which is totally fine. It led to the final and very best idea.
We made a video game-a legit video game using game-maker programming. Well...Julien did... I sorta screwed with one of the levels and tossed out ideas at him. But still, it was really fun and I did learn a whole lot about it. That went really well, and we actually let people play the video game. The top score would get a prize...though we didn't know-for sure-what it would be for a long time .We speculate that it's a giftcard to Best Buy or Gamestop. Fun fun!!!
NOW THEN!!! ... For the actual day! THE day. One Stop Prom Shop, probably the biggest and the best Prom tradeshow in Ohio, was held from 11 AM to 3 PM on March 3, 2013 in the Natatorium. Though I couldn't make it to that, I was very very happy with the results. It was probably better than last year-and even more successful. Some of the vendors went away crying at how amazing it was (bragging just a smidge).
I sorta wish I'd gone, but it's whatever. I'm just happy with how it turned out, because they incorporated a fashion show, the morph dances, the vendors, and an enormous booty-load of awesome raffle prizes. To make it better, there were also Swag Bags-party bags full of awesome coupons and samples. I had fun stuffing the bags (sarcasm) So many bags! But it was pretty fun. I think this was the highlight of my Senior year (So far).
Well, according to my sources, this will be my last blog post on the One Stop Prom Shop, thoug I could go on forever. Even the news was there! (Rambling again). Now our trip to NY HAS to beat this! I'm super excited for that, too.
So, as I leave you my pretties, I've got to go make data-sheets and write thankyou notes on the insides of thankyou cards for the people who made this whole thing possible. It was seriously amazing...and my fingers are freezing. It's seriously cold in my tiny corner of the room.
